About the Associate position:

GarrowEvoy is moving to its next level of growth and seeks a full-time Associate to support both the client facing and project management aspects of our practice. We are looking for Associates that are involved with serving clients as well as building our business. The Associate will support managing operations and administration while building tools, improving training materials, enhancing communication and reporting on client projects, marketing and communications aspects of our business.  At the same time, the Associate will work on client facing projects in the role of impact coach as appropriate to their expertise and experience


The successful candidate

will be based in Montreal

and work closely with the GarrowEvoy team

which includes Associate Judith Gaudet


 
Responsabilities:

  • The Associate will manage operations and administration while building tools, managing standards, developing and automating processes and enhancing reporting in client projects, marketing and communications and the financial aspects of our business  

  • Tasks would include: managing start up communication and material preparation and dissemination to new clients so they are ready to engage in coaching mandates and setting up program management system for new projects  

  • The Associate will also work on client facing projects as appropriate to their expertise and experience  

  • In client engagements, the Associate will work under the supervision of one or more partners to deliver and support client engagements according to GarrowEvoy’s established processes and quality standards  

  • We work as a team: at the start of every engagement, we determine the best composition of the team, and the responsibilities of each member.  Individual Associates’ roles are different depending on the complexity and duration of projects and GarrowEvoy’s relationship with the client


Other cross cutting tasks:

  • Leverage our learning, in collaboration with the whole team, by developing or refining standard tools, training materials, processes and resources that can be applied to new projects (ex. design, update and improving training materials -Powerpoint, Miro, Jamboard)

  • Design basic evaluation tools and instruments to support client pressure testing work (surveys, focus group and interview protocols, program analyses)

  • Carry out basic research and participatory knowledge gathering within certain mandates (key informant interviews, meetings, webinars – physical, virtual or hybrid)

  • Participate in and contribute to communities of practice related to our field to support the evolution of coaching streams, engage in follow up (developmental evaluation, impact measurement, strategy, change management)

  • Update and improve upon our existing IT systems and project management platforms (Dropbox, Basecamp, Google drive, Zoom, Miro)

  • Supporting the overall strategic and administrative growth of the GarrowEvoy practice by participating in team meetings, trainings, planning and learning sessions

 

Requirements:

 

  • University or College degree in a relevant field of study

     

  • A minimum of 3 years or related experience working in a program coordinator or management role in a non-profit organization, foundation, network or service organisation

     

  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in social innovation, strategy and non-profit management

     

  • Ability to work within multiple deadlines and effectively manage workload.

     

  • Perfectly bilingual: bilingual oral and written skills (English/French)

 

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills; ability to design and host coaching meetings with clients

     

  • Ability to work independently and virtually on multiple priorities

     

  • Skills in Microsoft Office suite and virtual facilitation platforms (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Miro)

     

  • Experience in, interest in research and evaluation and qualitative tool development an asset (surveys, focus groups) 


 


Assets:

 

  • Knowledge and experience of the social economy, social impact frameworks

     

  • Lived experience or deep professional experience with diversity, equity and inclusion approaches, perspectives and practices

     

  • Skills in Graphic design are an asset for developing and improving upon training materials
  • Experience working with foundations and large institutions

     

  • Experience with budget and project management

     


 

Full time position based on a 40-hour work week

One-year renewable contract

Starting May 1, 2021 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

Performance review conducted after at 3- and 6-month mark

$47,000-$55,000 (commensurate with experience)

 


 

The successful candidate would work from their own home office with regular face to face and teleconference meetings with GarrowEvoy and their associates. Télé travail is in place until the COVID 19 restrictions lift.
